In March of 2020, Christelle left her hometown of Charlotte, NC to move to Atlanta, GA for a new job opportunity. Not knowing that the world would shut down soon after, she eagerly packed her car and headed down i85.

Living in a new city amid a pandemic was difficult, so Christelle traveled back to Charlotte every chance she got. Until July 18, 2020, when she was hosting a group of friends at her home in Atlanta, and one of the ladies invited Christopher over.

Chris walking into her apartment that evening was the beginning of what would be their forever love story.

Chris was a doctorate student at Life University and had very little time left after managing his school work, interning at local clinics, and spending time with his daughter, Ivanna. But Chris was determined to not let this connection fade away. Over the next 6 months, Chris and Christelle would build a friendship that is now a foundation of their relationship. On January 15, 2021, Chris asked Christelle to be his girlfriend. This was huge because before this Christelle had never had a boyfriend. Their relationship blossomed as they spent most of their time together. Chris later graduated from Life with his Doctorate in Chiropractic and redirected his time to working and spending it with Christelle and his family. These two became inseparable. Over the years, Chris learned Christelle and quickly realized that she was the one for him. He even learned Lingala (Christelle's native language) and began leaving her sticky notes that said "na lingi yo" (I Love You) around her apartment. What sealed the deal for him was how she interacted with Ivanna. Not only would they have a blast while with each other, but Ivanna would often ask "Where's Christelle" when she wasn't around. He knew that he had found his person and his daughter confirmed it. After months of praying about it, Chris was presented with the perfect opportunity to speak to Christelle's Father when she invited him to come to Charlotte for Thanksgiving, 2022. And on January 30th 2023, Chris got down on one knee at their dinner table and asked Christelle to marry him. After running around for a couple of minutes, Christelle made the easiest decision she'd ever make and said "Yes".

This brings us to the present day. Chris and Christelle are preparing to embark on a lifelong journey, and this will be the next chapter in their forever love story.
